The day that Carol was Gone for Three Weeks
Carol had to help Lisa a while back and she was gone for three weeks. That left me here alone. I got a long just fine, but Carol wasn't very happy when she got back. From the garage you go directly into the kitchen. When she opened the door. She was really shocked. Every cupboard door was open. The draws were open. The only thing that was not open was the Refrigerator door. The water was dripping in a sink full of dishes and rest of the dishes were laying on the counter top. Some of the window blinds were open, some were closed, some were up, and some were down. Tools and other things were laying on top of the counters. Three weeks of newspapers were on the couch and floor. She walked in to my bedroom She could not walk through my bedroom without stepping on dirty clothes. The bathroom sink had not been cleaned for three weeks. The toilet paper was all gone. toilet seat up, and tooth paste and tooth brushes and razor laying around. Soiled towels on the floor. All of the lights in the house were on. None of the doors were locked. She turned around and I haven't seen her since.

The Greatest Threat to the United States of America
Senator Chris Buttars has been the focus of Utah Journalist and some of the national press for the following statement: "The gays and lesbians are the greatest threat to America." The gay people want him to resign his senate position for making that statement. I have not read everything that he has said, but if he didn't say it he should have said that the greatest threat to the United States of America is: He/she that does not keep the Sabbath holy is a threat to America. He/she that participate in abortion and supports abortions is a threat to America. He/she that is not true to his/her marriage covenants is a threat to America. He/she that sexual activity outside of marriage is a threat to America. He/she that live the homosexual life style is a threat to America. He/she that cheats, steals, and in anyway acquire goods or services in a fraudulent way is a threat to America. These are the people who are the greatest threat to America. The Book of Mormon describes this condition in this way:
"Yea, it shall come in a day when there shall be great pollutions upon the face of the earth; there shall be murders, and robbing, and lying, and deceivings, and whoredoms, and all manner of abominations; when there shall be many who will say, Do this, or do that, and it mattereth not, for the Lord will uphold such at the last day. But wo unto such, for they are in the gall of bitterness and in the bonds of iniquity." Mormon 8:31

The Junk Drawer
Growing up in my home in Sutherland, there was a drawer in the corner cabinet that was full of junk. Such as nuts and small bolts, screws, nails, paper clips, shoe laces, small hinges, thumb tacks, a few small tools, small paint brushes, etc. When ever we needed something, we would go to that drawer to see if we could find it. Occasionally we did, but most of the time we didn't. Bread crumbs would make their way into that drawer. It was still there when I married and left home. It was moved when my mother moved into town. She did not take it with her. I went to school, graduated, and then began teaching. That junk drawer showed up in our house. Not the same one, but one like it that contained the same things. I have been retired for 18 years of so. But I have discovered that most of the drawers I have or junk drawers. I have a junk closet. I have a junk garage. I have junk under my bed. I have my under ware in a small corner of one drawer. I have my socks in the top front of another drawer. The first two feet in my closet has the clothes I wear. The rest is junk. I leave junk around the house and Carol is still trying to train me to put it a way. I have a stack of junk papers. I have a stack of junk magazines and catalog. There are three dressers with draws and a cedar chest that I to a look in side last week and that was the first time in years. These are all in the bedroom. The kitchen is a little better. Most of the drawers are opened every day, and there is nothing hiding in them. It is different in the cupboards. There are a couple of cupboards where things are hiding in the back. The other day we went through the "junk" in the milk safe. We found some things in there that we haven't seen for several years. I have had three or four computers of the last ten years and now have a lot of Junk files and junk emails. When the computer quits, you have to have more memory in the next one to hold all the junk files and junk mail or the last computer plus more memory for the new software.

Cutting Back
The Oscar awards are going to be given tomorrow night to the winners of the best movie, actor, actress, etc. It has been featured on the news all this week. The TV news highlights the cut back in of funding this big show. Because of the recession, the Hollywood people are going to have a bare bones show. We will see how it is. Because of the cut backs they are helping the recession move on its way. How can they do that. They are the ones who has much more money than the average worker. By doing this they are helping to put people out of work. The decorates, caterers, cleaning people, set builders, seamstress and tailors, etc. and all the other people that worked last year helping to put the show on will be out of a little less work this year. Because they don't get the work, they will have less money to spend on products and service that they need. Shame on the Oscar Academy. have

What to do with all the Money
There are some who would like the $800,000,000,000 divided by the number of people in the United States, (304,000,000) which would give each person about $2,600. A family of four would get $10,400. That sounds like a great plan. They could then spend the money how they would like to. Some may buy a car. Many would by big TV's. Others would remodel their home. Some may travel. All of this would help the economy. If, however, if that money was distributed that way, all at the same time, inflation would climb to double digits. I don't know how high it will go. The money has to be distributed over a period of time to allow the manufactures to provide product to meet the demand. If the demand is high and the product is not available, the price will surely increase. Money could be distributed the lowest income people first and those making the most money last over a period of six months or so. This would not help those with special interest or special projects like building roads, museums, schools, etc. But I am sure that jobs would be created and people would go back to work. The government needs to be sure that there is no inflation. I am not in favor of the present stimulus package.
Secretly Mining the Enemy
This would have to be very top secret. It could be done in two different ways. Weapons could be produced with a built in explosive that detonate when the weapon is used that would kill the person that uses it and those that are in close approximately to it. There could be a detonating device that would operate by satellite remote control or by sensors that would indicate that people are near by. These bobby trapped weapons could be sold to weapon dealers that are known weapon suppliers to the enemy. They could be put in a location where they could be stolen by the enemy. There might be ways of getting an explosive into the enemy headquarters where it would explode severely burn those in that meeting. It could be a bobby trapped pen, book, camera, etc. It would have to be done in such away that it would be difficult to trace the source of the exploding item. The same thing could be done to larger equipment such as tanks, airplanes, etc. that would be sold to friends now but may turn into an enemy later. If they later become the enemy, a signal could be sent to make that item unfunctional or blow it up.
President Obama's First Month
President Obama has followed through on a number of campaign promises so far. He has done it only because they are presidential decisions. However, he is having trouble with the "stimulus package." Much of his public rhetoric does not seem as polished as was his campaign rhetoric. He seems to be shooting at the hip, rather than making good sound thought comments. He talks about bipartisan for his plan, rather than bipartisan for the Republican plan. Many speak about how divisive some leaders are. It is only divisive if the others do not agree with my ideas. He is in trouble over several cabinet position choices. Here he admits to a mistake or goof in the selection of certain nominees. It is my feelings that things are not going to go well for president Obama. The high public opinion he enjoyed before his election will decline and may match the public opionon of President Bush. Further more, the republicans will win the senate and the house back in the 2010 election.

conserative spending undermines jobs
President Obama gives the banks and car companies the final word. The bonus cap has been placed at $500,000. There should be no bonuses at all until there is a profit. There are not to take any junkets are high priced meetings. This is going to hurt the profits of the high end hotels, resorts, etc. Which in turn will be the cause of job loose on a whole bunch of people. People that have secured jobs and a higher income, should keep on spending to help save jobs and create new jobs. The people out of work must cut back to use their present resources prudently.
