For a number of years I have felt that the policy that the United States of America should have towards the North Korea and Iran concerning the nuclear weapon is one of quick retaliation. There would be no need of trade sanctions or restrictions, constant warnings to quit their nuclear research for energy. The policy needs to be clear and direct. If any nuclear bombs hit Israel, there would be an immediate retaliation against one or both of those countries of a nuclear bomb on the at the location of government headquarters. I think that this would cause the countries to view there nuclear weapons program.

The Full Plate
There have been many in congress that believe that Obama should only be working on the economy. That he should get that fixed before he tackles education, energy, foreign policy, the boarder, defence, terrorists, etc. I take the position, that if he has got good people working for him, they can handle all of these issues. All that Obama needs to do is monitor, get reports, make adjustments, etc. I don't agree with many of the ways of solving these problems.

Bonus?
Thee has been a lot of talk concerning the bonuses that some of the top officers of companies receiving government money. I don't know how it really works, but it seems to me that a bonus should not be based on contractual documents that were drawn up at the time employment began. It should be based on profit. If the efforts of any employee contributes to more profit for the company, that employee should receive compensation based how much he contributed to that profit. The CEO and other top management should not get a bonus if the company lost money. They would only be able to get a bonus when the company makes a profit. The employees would not get a bonus either.

It All Depends on the Hat You are Wearing
Dave Thomas in a letter to the editor which given the premium spot of My View is complaining about the lack of ability that congress has of getting together and voting on the Mandate of the people in the recent election. But in reality in my opinion the vote was not necessarily a vote for the democrats, but a vote against president Bush and the Republicans. He further states that the Republicans are trying to win back their position. He praises the three Republicans that voted with the democrats and calls them his three newest heroes. He wants the Republicans vote the right way which is the way that the democrats are voting. The republicans are now what used to be the moderate democrats. and the democrats are now the far left democrats.
He talks about voting for people of courage and intellect who vote their mind and do not follow the party leadership and special interests. He says that he would praise a democrat who had the courage to vote with the republicans. I don't believe a word that he is saying. Particularly when he signs off as a former nominee, his company name and his position with the company.
One example and I think that it can be found in any position, the relationship between teacher and principal. The teacher complains about the principal. As soon as that teacher becomes the principal, (changes hats) He does the same thing that the principal that he is replacing did.

General Motors is in deep trouble. They have received Billions of dollars to keep them going and they are still in trouble. I General Motors sold every car in their own lots and every car that are in the dealer lots, would there be enough money to pay off their debts. I doubt it. It seems to me that the money should go to the consumer. They would buy the cars and General Motors would end up with the money any way. The government could give a rebate to the person who buys a car. The rebate could be in the thousand of dollars.
