Yesterday morning Carol and and went to the Manti Temple devotional. The light was slowly creeping in from the east when we left. The time was 7:45. The sun was shinning in our faces about at the half way point. The temple doors were to open at nine, but were opened earlier so we did not half to wait. We showed our recommends as we went past the recommend desk. Carol went to her locker room and I to mine. The locker rooms were not to crowded therefore I was able to quickly remove my street clothes and change into my whites. I met Carol as she was coming out of her locker room. We waited with about a dozen other people for the elevator to come to the basement level. The door opened and all of us walked in. There was room for others. Someone pushed the button labeled two and in a few seconds we were on the celestial floor. Exiting to the right and turning left w walked up three flights of stairs and were greeted by other temple workers. The first six or seven rows of white benches were reserved. We made our way to the middle of a row of benches which were behind the reserved rows. It was around nine and the devotional started at eleven.
This photo of the west end of the temple was featured on the cover of the program.
