Habits 2

I broke my showering habits completely.  I changed the whole procedure.  I received a bar of goat soap from a friend.  With a wash clothe I lathered up this soap and then washed my body the the clothe.  I went online to find out a more information on this soap.  They claimed that soap helps keep your skin moist and is very good for washing your hair.  This is where I changed.

  • I don't use the wash cloth any more.  I rub the soap every where that I can reach.
  • When that is finished I wash my hair and rinse.
  • I step out of the tub and dry off.
  • Last I rinse the tub.
That's it.
So far the soap on my hair has the same results as the shampoo.

Habits

When I shower each morning I habitually do the same thing.
  • Turn on the hot water, soak up my wash cloth, and turn on enough cold water for a comfortable shower.
  • The stopper is pulled directing the water up through the shower.
  • I close the curtain and step into the tub at the opposite end.
  • Picking up the hot wash cloth I lathered it up with a bar of soap and then began washing my body.
  • When finished I ring as much water out of the cloth and hold it between by legs.  I squeeze the shampoo container for a small portion of shampoo, then putting my head under the shower I begin to wash my hair.
  • I then rinse my hair with the water running down my face.  Taking the wash clothe I wipe the excess water from my face.  I then fill a picture full off water.
  • Shutting the water off I wring out as much water from the wash clothe as I can and then wipe down the soap tray put the wash cloth on the edge of the tube. I use the water to rinse out the tub.
  • I push the shower curtain back to the end of the tub and begin to dry my self.  Stepping out of the tub I finish drying and get dressed.
I am trying to change a few things in this daily morning ritual.  I want to wipe the soap tray after I get out of the tub and then rinse out the tub.  This is not an earth shaking thing.  I have only have changed the procedure on a couple of times.

There are habits that are important to our health and well being.  Smoking, drinking, drugs, etc.
Deep ingrained habits are hard to change.

What are your habits, large or small, good or bad?
