1940's Plane Crash

I talked to a man, Brother Olsen I think, at the temple today who was from Loa, Utah.  He knew Lloyd Chapel who is a cousin of my mother.  Lloyd's wife was killed a plane crash a little over sixty years ago in Loa.  I think that I went to the funeral with my mother and dad.  Brother Olsen, a Manti Temple worker, was part owner of the plane that crashed.  He pulled his wife and the piolot out of the crashed plane.  The pilot was dead and Lloyd's wife died at the hospital nearly sixty miles away.  He said that every bone in her body was broken.  My parents said that her shoe came off her feet without undoing the laces.
Brother Olsen said that he might have been part responsible for the crashing of the plane.  He was filling the plane's gas tank using a hand pump and a 55 gallon drum.  It had rained some and there was some water in the gasoline.  He drained some water out of the carborater by opening a pet cock.  He let it run until there was no mover water in the gas.  He may have left it on.  The plane taxied down the run away and on the way back was flying low.  One wing hit the ground and and the plane crashed.
I will get more information the next time I see him.

Muslims and Christianity

I enjoyed the video of Muslims and Christianity and believe most of what was said.

Most of the Christians of the world are Christians in name only.  They,  “…draw near unto me with their mouth, and with their lips do honor me, but have removed their hearts far from me,…”     (Book of Mormon  2 Nephi 27:25)   Most Christians do not keep the Sabbath holy.  Their Sundays are not spent at Church, but at sport activities, in the canyons, at the beaches, at the movies, or shopping.   Abortion is a common practice of many.   Immoral conduct, infidelity, lasciviousness, adultery and fornication seems to be an acceptable practice.  Most of the movies in the USA are full of sex, violence, and corruption.  Corruption is rampant in government and business.  These things in my opinion will be the downfall of the USA.

The members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints all over the world who live their religion, do not use alcohol, coffee, tea, tobacco and illegal drugs.  They strive to keep the Sabbath holy, do not participate in abortions, and marriage covenants are sacred.  As in all religions there are many Mormons who choose not to follow the teachings of Christ.

The teachings of Jesus Christ are more clearly explained in the Book of Mormon than any other book.  Find your copy of the Book of Mormon and read it from cover to cover and you will be amazed of the teachings of Jesus.  It is better to read it than to read the Book of Mormon other than read what other say about the Book of Mormon.
