Many are thinking about the Josh Powell case in regards to 911. The social worker tried for 10 minutes to get someone to respond to the serious situation that those two boys were in.
I have called 911 three times. The first time was about twelve years ago. I had driven to Delta, Utah to set up a retail outlet for my nursery. It was early in the spring maybe April. On the way back the wind was blowing something terrible. There are several areas of sand dunes. There hadn't been much rain that spring ,therefore the ground was really dry. We drove through one area where the sand and dust was so heavy that I would not see the road. I slowed down and made it through to where the road became clear. I drove about six more miles. Some of the fields there were recently plowed and the dust was so thick that I stopped. After coming to a stop I saw a stopped car about five feet ahead of me. I called 911 and reported the driving conditions there. About thirty minutes later I made it around that car and driving in the right away between the road and the fence. finally, I got out of the dust. Back on the road and all the way home. which was about five miles.
I was driving to Salt Lake City to pick up a some things from a retail outlet that I had in Sandy. I was driving through Orem in the center lane of the freeway. A big semi who was behind past me on the right. He then started to get in front of me before he had completly passed. The back of his rig hit by front fender . I called 911 to report that. I did not stop. Help was there within minutes. The semi was stopped in Lehi.
about six years ago I was driving just north of Cove Fort. I rolled my van over. Someone else called 911. There was help soon.
A couple of years ago while driving home from Manti after dark. There was a herd of black cattle along the side of the road. I called 911 and reported it. It had been reported earlier.
