To Bomb or Not to Bomb

President Obama is in a hard spot.  Several years ago the Syrian Civil war began to escalate.   Many in congress encouraged Obama to begin to help the Syrian rebels over throw the government of ruthless Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad.  Some of the problems with this nobody new who the freedom fighters were.  Were they friendly to the USA, or wood they be as bad as al-Assad.

My background is in education.  I taught for thirty years in eight different schools, and much of the time I taught the fourth grade.  I don't know how many principals that I worked for, but there could have been twice as many as there were schools. There were several principals that I worked for were not well liked by many of the teachers.  The teachers have no power to select principals or dismiss.  But form time to time principals retire or are transfered to another school, or to the district office.  The new principal is worse than the old.  This is true inregards to a new leader of a country.  The new government in Syria may be worse than the government.

So what should Obama do?  He said that if there is proof that chemicals have been used, he would take some military action.  This week there is overwhelming evidence that chemicals have been used.  Can he change his mind.  Some say no.  He would loose creditability.  Nonsense.

Frequently a parent will draw the line in the sand.  Then has to change their minds. There are other options on can take.
