Eliminating the Nuclear Bomb

There is much talk now days about eliminating nuclear bombs. The United States government is constantly working at arms reduction with Russia. It sounds like a nice thing to have a world without the bomb. But. how does a country of 300 million people defend itself form a country of 3 billion. The is no way. When I was in elementary school about 60 years ago, at the end of World War II, my teacher spoke about the Russians and what part they played in the defeat of Germany. He went on to say that the Chinese had such a big population that they could march soldiers eight abreast into the ocean night and day and never run out of soldiers. Nuclear weapons would even the playing field. Both side may have them, but would not use them because of the treat of retaliation. Take a way the bomb, it would be hard to defend your country.

If the nuclear bomb was taken away, all soldier would have to be taken away. Training of soldiers would have to be discontinued. That will never happen. The nuclear weapon is what keeps America safe.
